§ self prepare lunch §

In my dictionary, cooking is sort of horrible process….especially Chinese cuisine….In Chinese culture, the main element of cooking is the heat of the stove…the more hot it be, the tastier the meal would be….But it also cant left out chef skills and experiences…

For me, what really mind the exposure of the boiling oil…

Ya…

definitely is  hot terrible if your skin get in touch with the oil….

<can’t image…ouch!!>

Since now i get so bored with college food, i decided to get home cook a super simple meal that does not require any oil in my process for myself…

(can be more healthier and save some money =p)

take a look and see…..

DSC035571

see….

Apple – peel and slice

Eggs – boiled and slice and put it in the bun

tea – pour hot water in it

potato – boil and mashed

Walla!!!…simple meal…have most of the nutrient that need for a meal….but i missed out vegetables…opps….cause of my mom didn't go market today so i can add it in…

Isn't that hard right?…simple and easy…

did not get in touch of any horrible, terrible boiling oil..

try it at home when you really feel bored with outside foods….

-dinner with him-

As usual…..class…class…class

today is my first day of EDC….my normal tutoring class from my lecturer considered done…so wait is left now is……..EXAM….

feel….!@#$%…..

why?……lol….haven’t really started study…although i studied here and there…but it’s not enough to score….

no time to waffle so much of my college life…le’s begin with my dinner….

Today my dear off from his work as now his company changed policy to every 4 consecutive days will have 1 day off…no matter that off day falls at the public holiday or not…

what if it really fall??….too bad…you loss 1 precious holiday lo….

my dinner with him is when to a place named 100ÂșC…..

at first we wanted to go to Shabu Garden at Kuchai Lama..but that place is so expensive that we feel not worth it…

the food there is considered sufficient…and the price range is reasonable too…

Pulau Langkawi (11/4/2010-14/4/2010)

It’s been a week since the last langkawi trip. The trip is superbly fun and quite enjoy during the stays at there.

Photos unable to upload now as I still haven't get it from Sally and Andy (need a lot of memory capacity)

Gosh…do you know how much photos that we have taken for this long/short vacation? ….almost 2000snaps!!

Unbelievable right? It’s just because we don’t care of posing, timing or place…what we do is just snap~ snap~ snap~

So, my friend and I finished up most of our money there. Overspend in simple word. Actually purchasing power for us at there is not very high as their main income is from tourists. So u can imagine how high their price is at there.

Good news! Refunds from our double booking of this trip.

Thanks to the staff working at there to ask us to get our refund. But need to wait for a month (at least) for Air Asia to credit it back into our account. Although just only rm75 but already sufficient for us to spend for 1 dinner together.

The apartment that we stay actually is not that bad. It just only lack of cleaning. But what do you want to expect for an apartment of 3rooms and just only cost for RM150/night. Moreover, my flight tickets were just only RM15 round trip.

Appreciate it, ok?

The funny part for the trip was my friends and I can’t finish up a bottle of liquor (Bacardi lemon – Rm30) for the whole 4days 3 nights. Sad. Proven that we are not drinker, just cam-whore.

My initial plan is at least can see sun rise together with my dear. But unfurtunaly, local people at there also don’t know when the sun will wake up.

Funny right?

1) What time they usually wake up and sleep?

ANS: after 8am and sleep before 10pm or max 11pm

2) Any night life?

ANS: sleep (actually have but need to explore the whole island for incomparable pub/club with kl’s …lazy already)

3) Why cows and buffalos everywhere especially in the paddy field?

ANS: they are treasury the Malays (langkawi actually is a Malay kampong) and the paddy field is for deco only (do you expecting there will be people going to the field when the sun already above their head? Don’t be fool.

4) The business hours for the shop?

ANS: duty free shop- 9.30am till 9.30pm

Breakfast- 7.30am till 1pm (available at Pantai Cenang only)

Lunch – fast food (Mc Donald and KFC only)

Dinner – 6.30pm till 10pm

Supper – own hotel run drunk yourself

Places to go in Langkawi ( F.O.C)

1) Eagle square

2) Black sand beach ( getting less black already- maybe tourist taking the sand home as souvenir )

3) Datai hotel ( go borrow toilet enough already)

4) telaga pearl harbor

5) Legenda park

6) Gunung Raya

7) Laman Padi

8) Oriental village

9) Temurun waterfall (same place with datai hotel)

10) Seven wells waterfall (same place with cable car)

With charges

1) Langkawi Cable car

2) Air Hangat village

3) Makam Mahsuri (RM5 for Malaysian)

4) Beras Terbakar

5) Under water world (RM28 for Malaysia/ Rm38 for non-Malaysian)

6) Crocodile farm (RM15)

7) Wildlife park (RM14)

8) Snake sanctuary (RM10 for Malaysia/ RM15 for non-Malaysian)

9) Pulau Payar marine park (package price Rm180-Rm240 8hours trip)

10) Island horses

11) Island hopping (lake of pregnant maiden, beras putih beach and eagle feeding)

12) And lots more. Like art gallery, museum.caves. and etc.

Notes!!!

1) Think twice when go during dry season. Why? Because some places might close for maintenance (in my case-cable car close), waterfall dry out...your pee definitely more than the water in the river.

2) Get ready with your map.

3) Rent a car. People with a very good bargaining skill will gain advantages as u might able to get a nice with a reasonable price. Average: proton iswara RM50/24hours

4) Plan your schedule of the place you want/don’t want go. Don’t ended up that does not have sufficient time to play.

5) Buy duty free items at Kuah town as it will be cheaper.

6) Have funs……

Upcoming stop: BALI, INDONESIA / SEOUL, KOREA

Due to everyone busy working and i am the only one busy studying, dint go anywhere interesting and make my life more miserable...sad

But my anniversary is coming so...hoping for some small surprise...
best is bring me to somewhere nice (but not expensive) for candle light dinner...but please!!!! no mamak or hawker stall.

Finally.....

It's has been a month that this blog is not updated...basically not much time to spare out to explore the surrounding place for foods and fun..(which can say that totally no fun at all for this first month of 2010)...plus i got a bit lazy to post blog recently...
Too much of incident(s) and things that have to be settle/ needs to be settle asap~...
Sad to say that January is not a very happy month for Richmond,or friends and I because of this unhappy and sudden incident...
January~tasks, tasks, tasks only...
Jan 7 - Back to college life...yeah!! final year(i think)...but have to force myself to make
it virtually certain...ACCA GRADUATION!!! Wait me!!
Jan 27 - Andy 22th birthday
Jan 29 - Nathan 21st birthday
But sadly out of the sudden, we received a news...very bad news...make a lot of change for most of the people involved in this issue..including myself..
Since everything has passed...CHEER UP~...'members' that remains here need to pack yourself up and accept challenge again...don't left anyone behind again...
Hence,for me...Hmmm~
STUDY!!!
waiting for the only two(or maybe three) events that falls in the month of February...
Result and Happy Chinese New Year and also Happy Valentine's Day...
Richmond and i will just only have a simple lunch together as we can't really celebrate actually as his house situation does not really allow...I don't really want him to be a patty that stand between the bun..Sad to him also
Result...PASS ALL!!

Furnishing day

This long season break, Richmond decided to refurnish his room to welcome the coming Chinese new year. For Chinese people, Chinese new year is an important day for every family member to get back home and have some reunion celebration..So the house has to be clean...

Hence today i become a good girlfriend accompany him to Ikea at Damansara Mutiara to buy some sofa, shelf and carpet...

It's lunch time so we have our lunch in Ikea before we start our buying spree...

Meals and beverages in Ikea is quite nice and cheap...As the price range is in between RM1.50 - RM 12...
Vegetarian pasta with tomato sauce (RM5), Soup of the day (RM3) and coffee (RM2)

The fun part is the drink is free refill so as me is a coffee drinker, it just like heaven....total for my bill is RM10.50 (inclusive of 5% government tax)

Richmond already had his lunch so I'm the only one that having lunch while he is considering what to buy..

We can't get any sofa and carpet as the price is out of our budget limit so have to go another place tomorrow...

our result..shelf and apple candles...

Once we settled all our spree and head back home, Jing Ye invite us for dinner with Ah Boy in Pudu..We drive to Pudu to pick Ah Boy up and head to Wangsa Maju 4 Happy Seasons Cafe
It is a halal cafe as it does not serve pork and lard...This cafe concept is they have 4 seasons in a building (spring, summer, autumn and winter)..so you can choose which season you want to have your meal each time of visit...

We have chosen winter as the remain the temperature at 15Celsius and below..so we can experience the chillness before we consider to go somewhere with winter season..

As for me, i still fell tolerable because i have been somewhere during winter season...is chill not cold.i can fell the chill directly drill to my bone...
Richmond is covered himself with jacket and pillow..

Signature for this cafe is they will change the menu every some time...so you will fill with surprise with the new dish they introduce...The price range about RM20 - RM50++ depending how many people sharing...

These time we ordered a dinner set for 4 ....

1)Green tea and white rice for 4 pax
2)Braised Homemade Bean curd in clay pot
3)Indonesian Spicy Squid (actually i feel sweet instead of spicy)
4)Lemon chicken *no photo as all the guys get annoyed from my action*
5)Stir fried choy sam with oyster sauce
6)Hot & spicy Siakap Fish (promotion price RM15)
7)Additional 3bowl of rice @ RM1.50 each
Total...RM 91.65(inclusive of 10% service tax and 0% government tax)

After i paid my bill, i realized i forgotten to present my membership card(will get it once spend a min RM40 in a single receipt for free)..

So Richmond and i head back to the counter so see weather can claim back or not...The waitress is so kind and help us to ask his supervisor by using walkies-talkie..

The supervisor is so "lazy" i think that just say 'cannot...pay already then don't care them'..
Richmond and i can hear it clearly as we just standing at the counter..Actually we don't really mind of the 10% service charge,it the best that can claim back but i don't really like the supervisor's attitude..

Moral of the story...REMEMBER to present membership card whenever purchasing or paying bills...
